1. China Wins 5th Consecutive Women’s World Table Tennis Championships Title

China won their fifth straight women’s team title after sweeping Japan 3-0 at the World Team Table Tennis Championships on Saturday.

It was also a record 22nd time for China to win the Corbillon Cup in history.

2. China has a chance to qualify for the Women’s Volleyball World Cup quarter-finals

China’s women’s volleyball team defeated Pool E opponents Puerto Rico on Wednesday at the FIVB World Championship in straight sets 25-15, 25-19, 25-21 to kick off stage 2. of the tournament. China Table Tennis Association President Liu Guoliang has been named chairman of the World Table Tennis (WTT) board of directors, the organization announced at the World Table Tennis Team Championships on Thursday. The 46-year-old former Olympic champion is also the current Chairman of the WTT Council and Executive Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

4. Candidates announced for 2022 Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame

A list of 16 nominees has been handed over to the 2022 Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame after the decision of a 500-member nominating committee.

The 16 candidates out of 30 nominees chosen by 100 basketball-related parties will be considered by the Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame’s final review committee to nominate the final ten members, which will include four male players, three female players and three coaches.
