Dr Hilary sparks backlash from GMB fans over Covid death comment | Television & Radio | Showbiz and television
Susanna Reid stressed that it was “amazing” it has been two years since the UK was put into its first lockdown. The Good Morning Britain host then quizzed Dr Hilary on whether things would get worse with the rise in COVID-19 cases and asked if another lockdown was possible.
“Where have those two years gone? said the GP to the host. “When you look back and remember images of deserted waterfronts, deserted public places, planes parked at airports.”
“It gives me chills to think about it,” Susanna added. “Do you think cases are on the rise again, we now know that more people have Covid now than at any time during the pandemic.
“Can you see a situation where we would do that again?”
‘No,’ Dr Hilary replied before adding, ‘Not unless there is a variant as severe as the original variant that put so many people in hospital.’

Frank added: ‘GMB you need to get rid of Dr Hilary, he’s totally off, he’s changed his mind about Covid as it suits him to bring in a younger model.’ (sic)
User @RaggieRedgrave said: “188,000 people never died of covid. Stop lying. China sent us videos of people falling dead in the streets and the government, Sage and media like GMB panicked and have fallen into the trap.” (sic)
Dr Hilary has previously come under fire from GMB viewers for his views on the pandemic.
He was first criticized after claiming masks weren’t effective, before turning around and advising people to wear face masks.
