90 day fiance Season 9 premieres April 17, and fans are more than ready to watch six new couples and one returning couple as they try their hand at international relationships. Kobe and Emily, one of this season’s newest couples, already share a child, but her family has warned her not to get pregnant again. Does the couple take their advice into account?

Kobe and Emily met in person before appearing on ’90 Day Fiancé’ Season 9

While most of the couples who appear on the show meet for the first time in an episode of the season, this is not the case for Kobe and Emily. Previously, Emily and Kobe both lived overseas in China, where he was an underwear model. The two had a one-night stand and Emily ended up pregnant as a result. Even though Emily flew home to Kansas to have the baby, she and Kobe promised to make their relationship work.

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, travel restrictions kept Emily and Kobe apart for nearly two years. In 90 day fiance Season 9, the two finally reunite when Kobe moves to Kansas to be with Emily and their son, Koban. Emily’s family, however, are far from happy with Kobe and Emily’s plan.

Emily’s parents are concerned about her relationship with Kobe

In an excerpt from We Weekly, Emily’s mother expresses her concerns to her daughter at the dinner table. “We all hope it will work. We all hope he’s the great guy you say he is, but he may be a different person when he comes here.

Emily’s mother continues to talk with 90 day fiance Season 9 producers, “I don’t know if covid wasn’t there if Kobe would still come. My concern is that she’s not madly in love with him when he comes, or something isn’t the same, and she marries him anyway.

Emily’s father tells her, “You won’t have the wildlife you had in China. He will have to be domesticated very quickly until he becomes a dad, taking care of a crazy one and a half year old. He’s going to have to be a stay-at-home dad for a while.

Emily and Kobe promise her family she’s taking birth control

Kobe, originally from Cameroon, is not allowed to work in the United States until six months after his arrival. Emily’s father is also worried about how he will support the 90 day fiance The Season 9 couple and their baby until Kobe can find work.

Emily’s dad gives her and Kobe a stern warning: “Okay, I’m paying the tab for six months. I’m supporting everyone for six months, right? One thing is certain, it is better not to get pregnant.

Emily laughs and tells her parents, “I have birth control; I just haven’t taken it yet. Its good. We won’t have any more children in this house.

However, it appears to be Emily’s famous last words. In the full trailer for 90 day fiance Season 9, a scene shows Emily and Kobe taking a pregnancy test as the audience hears Kobe mumbling, “Oh my God,” behind the bathroom door.

Luckily, fans only have a few more days to wait before 90 day fiance Season 9 premiere on TLC.
