Inside Noel and Liam Gallagher’s long-term feud – fights, online and solo insults
Noel and Liam Gallagher had one of the most difficult relationships in music history.
The brothers started off like every other normal sibling, but quickly rose to astronomical musical stardom after forming the rock band Oasis.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest rock bands of all time, they have risen to the top of the charts and repeatedly beaten the number one spot.

They were both iconic figures in the 90s brit-rock movement and had an ongoing feud with fellow chart toppers Blur.
However, they soon turned around and the band broke up after nearly two decades of success.
Since then, the pair have spoken separately and their dislike for each other seems more widespread than ever.
Read on to find out how their love-hate relationship began.
Noel was actually the one who admitted he started the feud between the two on The Matt Morgan Podcast.
Liam started a clothing brand called Pretty Green and sent his brother items ahead of its initial release.
However, Noel said he donated the – unworn – clothes to a charity shop, which left Liam furious with his brother.
Noel said Liam ‘went ****** crazy’ when he discovered the clothes were in the window of a charity shop, long before he had even launched the clothing brand him -same.
He recalled: “Liam gave us a lot of clobber, not just me, he [gave it to the band]. I went straight to the charity shop and left it on the store doorstep. He got f****** mad, he said, ‘If you didn’t want it, you should have said you didn’t want it f******, you c***’.
It was the “beginning of the end” and sparked a long series of insults and remarks from the two brothers that lasted for decades.
The brothers have a very public feud with each other as they regularly insult each other in interviews, on TV, radio and online.
In 1994, Liam changed the lyrics to Live Forever during a concert in Los Angeles.
He hinted that Noel picked his nose and then hit him on the head with a tambourine, before Noel decided to leave the band but joined them later in the tour.
Perhaps a potential foreshadowing of their tumultuous relationship, the brothers didn’t hold back and still don’t when they want to hurt each other.
They’ve been known to get physical, and a baseball bat that Noel once used to hit Liam in the head was once sold, along with a certificate of authenticity.
They also love to hurl insults at each other on social networks.
More recently, Liam responded to a video of Noel singing their hit single Wonderwall and called it a “shitbag”.
Fans responded to his tweet and one asked if Liam “wishes I could be on stage with him,” to which he replied, “Of course I miss him so much man.”
However, those who know Liam well wondered if his response was sarcasm, but Liam has yet to confirm or deny if it was genuine.
In response to another fan, Liam said Noel just showed them “how to ruin his own song”, which sparked laughs.
Following the Oasis split, Liam formed Beady Eye with fellow Oasis band members Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock.
However, after poor album sales, they decided to go their separate ways and Liam embarked on a solo career.
Noel also launched Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and enjoyed success with their discography, with their Greatest Hits album released that month.
However, Noel’s passion still seems to be with his roots as he had planned to release an Oasis compilation album with previously unreleased bonus material.
Although he had high hopes, the idea was scrapped and the secret songs might never be heard.
