The script stops the Dublin concert in the middle of the song and calls security as Danny punches members of the crowd

The Scripts were forced to stop their concert in the middle of a song and call security after an altercation in the crowd on Thursday night.

Danny O’Donoghue and his bandmates were playing their third 3Arena show in consecutive days with free tickets for HSE frontline workers.

The singer praised the crowd and their energy throughout filming, but halfway through the set he had no choice but to call security and call the performance off.

An unimpressed Danny said: “We’re going to have to pull over now and put security in place, that’s not what this is about tonight.”

After no more than three or four minutes, the Dublin star was happy to resume the concert as two young men were escorted by security out of the 3Arena.

Fans praised the singer and that didn’t take anything away from the concert which kept the crowd dancing throughout.

Their tour honors everything the trio – Danny, Glen Power and Mark Sheehan – have achieved together since 2007.

Their latest album: “The ‘Tales From The Script’ album is a stepping stone to our next chapter, but it’s also our story so far,” according to Dany and they’re “so excited to take it on the road.” I know I’m gonna lose him on stage, night after night.

They are celebrating a journey that has included six Irish number one albums, five UK number one albums, six billion streams and over two million ticket sales with a Greatest Hits Tour.

They had iconic hits like “Hall of Fame” (featuring Will.i.am) and Top 10 hits “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved”, “For The First Time” and “Superheroes”.

Their signature music also includes “Breakeven”, their first single “We Cry” and “Rain”.

And for fans who stuck around after closing the song “Hall of Fame,” they even got a sneak peek at a song not yet released from the band’s new album.
